In Module 1 you will gain an understanding of the anatomy and physiology of the gastrointestinal and urinary tracts, with specific emphasis on: 
•    The gastrointestinal tract (GI) pathway
•    The movement within the gastrointestinal tract and exploring its four layers 
•    An examination of the urinary tract and how it relates to stoma care
The module is designed for nurses who are new to stoma care or wish to refresh your knowledge. 
This module is part of an entire course on fundamental stoma care that consists of several e-learning modules.
